I have been in the service industry field for nearly thirty years. Initially, working within the retail and restaurant industries. In my late twenties, I went back to school to obtain a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. After working in various clinical settings, I opened my own private practice (Mosaic Counseling Services) in 2015. During the initial years of launching my private practice, I became intimately familiar with all the demands placed on new and growing business owners, in addition to our numerous and arguably more important roles (i.e. partner, friend, parent, etc.). Early on, I grappled with growing my business and finding sustainable rhythms in the other areas of life that sustain me. It wasn't until I intentionally fostered a growth mindset by engaging in various communities of similarly-minded colleagues, creating systems for my businesses, and empowering others to exponentially accomplish more than I could own my own, that I began achieving more impact and balance professionally and personally.
